I'm on the run and I've got no place to go

I've been considering this and, while it certainly is more grammatically correct than the original lyric I think the lower speech level brings something different to the table. Certainly the rhythm gets thrown off by the extra syllables.

But let it never be said that I do not listen to my critics! I just don't listen to certain critical individuals and they know who they are.
